Five steps for cut flowers
- Leaves: strip every leaf that would sit in water, or it rots
- Cut: trim 2–3 cm off the stem, on a slant, ideally under water
- Revive: if the heads droop, soak the bunch in deep water for 2–3 hours
- Water: change it and rinse the vase every 1–2 days, and recut the stems
- Avoid: direct sun, heater or AC vents, and fruit (ethylene)
Reminders and a care diary live in the app
Get a nudge when it’s time to water or change the vase water, and keep a diary for each plant, in the PetalPal app. Search “PetalPal” on the App Store or Google Play.
