- Woody branches: cut on a slant, then split the end in a cross so it drinks better
- Buy branches with lots of buds just showing color. They'll open one by one at home.
Day to day
- Change the water about every 3 days, and trim the branch end while you're at it
- Want the buds open sooner, put it somewhere warm. Want them to last, put it somewhere cool.

The room is too dry and too cold. Mist the branches, and move them somewhere warmer.
