Not needed

Do this when you get home

  1. Fresh lavender only needs a little shallow water
  2. To dry it: tie small bunches and hang them upside down somewhere cool and airy. Dry in a week or two, and the scent keeps a long time.

Day to day

  • If it's in water, change it every 3 days
  • Rub a dried spike gently between your fingers and the scent gets stronger

Common questions

Why doesn't it smell like much?

Some of what's sold is an ornamental type with a light scent. Rub the spike and smell again, or look for true lavender (English lavender).
