Safe for cats and dogs. Any plant can still upset a pet’s stomach if they eat a lot, so keep it out of reach.
Light
Bright, indirect light
Water
Water thoroughly when bone-dry
Temperature
15-30°C, not below 10°C
Feed
Once a month while it's growing
Do this when you get home
- Put it by a bright window. It suits a hanging pot.
- The leaves are fleshy and drought-tolerant. Water only when the soil is bone-dry.
Day to day
- Don't cut off the short spur that already flowered (the peduncle). It blooms from the same spot next time.
- The stems climb and trail. A small trellis helps.
Common questions
It never flowers?
Not enough light is the main reason. A hoya needs to be quite bright before it blooms.
