Light
Full sun
Water
Water thoroughly when bone-dry
Temperature
15-25°C, not below 5°C
Feed
Every 2 weeks in bloom, with a phosphorus-potassium fertilizer
Do this when you get home
- Put it on the sunniest balcony or windowsill
- Water only when the soil is bone-dry. Geraniums really hate being wet.
Day to day
- Cut off a whole spent flower cluster
- Above 30°C in summer it half-rests. Hold back water and give it some shade.
- If the shape gets messy, prune it. The cuttings will root into a new pot.
Common questions
Lots of leaves, no flowers?
Not enough light, or too much nitrogen. Move it somewhere sunnier and switch to a phosphorus-potassium fertilizer.
The stems turned black and rotten?
Too much water. Hold back right away and cut off the rotten parts.
