Don't touch me, a quick temper

Big, bright flowers. It takes some shade, so even a north balcony can bloom.

Safe for cats and dogs. Any plant can still upset a pet’s stomach if they eat a lot, so keep it out of reach.

Light

Bright, indirect light. Shade it in summer.

Water

Keep it moist

Temperature

15-28°C, not below 10°C

Feed

Every 2 weeks in bloom

Do this when you get home

  1. Put it somewhere bright, out of afternoon sun
  2. The stems and leaves are juicy and like moisture. Water when the top of the soil is dry.

Day to day

  • If it goes thirsty, the leaves flop right away. They stand back up soon after you water.
  • Pull off spent flowers as they fade

Common questions

The leaves are drooping?

Thirsty, or too much sun. Water it through and move it somewhere shady.
