Meaning

Cool reserve, a melancholy kind of romance

In summer it's covered in pale blue flowers. Just looking at it feels cool.

The sap can irritate skin. Mildly toxic to cats and dogs.

Light

Full sun

Water

Water when it dries. In summer, water often.

Temperature

15-32°C, not below 0°C

Feed

Every 2 weeks in bloom

Do this when you get home

  1. Put it where the balcony gets the most sun
  2. When the soil surface is dry, water it through. In summer that may be every day.

Day to day

  • After each flush, cut off the tips that bloomed. New shoots flower again soon.
  • In winter, cut the branches back and keep it somewhere that doesn't freeze

Common questions

Few flowers, and the stems are thin and long?

Not enough light. Plumbago needs plenty of sun, and a trim when it stretches.
