Do this when you get home
- Cut the stems on a slant, 2 cm, and strip leaves that would sit underwater
- The stems are hollow and tender. 5-8 cm of water is enough. Too deep and they rot.
- Somewhere cool, the buds open slowly over two or three days
Day to day
- Change the water every 2 days, and trim a little off the stems each time
- If a stem goes soft or slimy, cut the bad part off
- In a heated room they open fast and fade fast. At night, move them somewhere cooler.

Common questions
The heads were drooping when I got them home?
The stems are hollow and take in air easily. Recut them, wrap them in newspaper, and soak in deep water for about 1 hour, then go back to shallow water.
