Meaning

Prosperity, more than enough

They open from the bottom up, and the spikes "look up" toward the light.

Safe for cats and dogs. Any plant can still upset a pet’s stomach if they eat a lot, so keep it out of reach.

Light

Out of direct sun

Water

Change the water every 2 days

Temperature

10-20°C

Preservative

Flower food is fine

Do this when you get home

  1. Cut the stems on a slant, 2 cm, and strip leaves that would sit underwater
  2. Once they're in the vase, try not to lay them down again. Snapdragons bend upward, and lying flat curves the spike.

Day to day

  • Change the water every 2 days and recut the stems
  • Pinch off spent florets at the bottom. The buds above keep opening.
  • The spike grows toward the light. Turn the vase often if you want it straight.

Common questions

The spike keeps bending?

Snapdragons bend up and toward the light. Turn the vase, or cut them a bit shorter and rearrange.
