Safe for cats and dogs. Any plant can still upset a pet’s stomach if they eat a lot, so keep it out of reach.

A little water in the leaf cup; keep the soil slightly moist
Temperature
15-28°C, not below 10°C
Feed
Hardly any
Do this when you get home
- Put it somewhere bright, out of direct sun
- The leaves of a flowering bromeliad form a little cup. Pour a bit of clean water in there. Keep the soil slightly moist.
Day to day
- Change the water in the cup every 1-2 weeks so it doesn't smell
- The color is bracts, not flowers. They can hold for months.
- After it flowers, the mother plant slowly ages. Pups that come up beside it can be split off and potted on their own.
Common questions
The red bracts faded?
That's normal aging. A mother plant blooms once and won't again. Grow the pups that come up beside it.
